📅 When Is the Genshin Impact 7.1 Livestream?

The Genshin Impact 7.1 Special Program is scheduled for September 12, 2026, at 08:00 AM ET (UTC-4). Here's a quick breakdown for players across different time zones so nobody misses out on those sweet, sweet codes:

Time Zone Livestream Time
ET (UTC-4) 08:00 AM
PT (UTC-7) 05:00 AM
GMT (UTC+0) 12:00 PM
CET (UTC+1) 1:00 PM
CST (UTC+8) 8:00 PM

Yes, some of us in certain time zones will be waking up before the sun even thinks about rising. But hey, when free Primogems are on the line, no sacrifice is too great. 😤

📺 Where to Watch

You can catch the program on two platforms simultaneously:

  • Genshin Impact YouTube

  • Genshin Impact Twitch

I personally recommend having both open in separate tabs, because the moment those codes flash on screen, I'm typing faster than a caffeinated secretary at a speed-typing contest. Every second counts!

🎁 The Livestream Codes — Your 300 Free Primogems

As per tradition, HoYoverse will drop three redemption codes during the livestream, each worth 100 Primogems, totaling a glorious 300 Primogems for free. Think of these codes as golden mushrooms on the side of a racing track — they zoom past fast, and if you blink, you miss them.

Here's what you need to know about redeeming codes:

  • ✅ Codes are typically revealed one by one throughout the stream

  • ⏰ They expire within a few hours, so redeem them ASAP

  • 🌐 You can redeem them through the official HoYoverse redemption site or directly in-game

  • 📋 Make sure your account is linked and you're logged in before the stream starts

Pro tip from a veteran Primogem-scrounger: open a notepad and copy-paste the codes the moment they appear. Don't try to memorize them — I speak from painful experience. 😅

🌟 What's Coming in Version 7.1?

Now here's where things get spicy. HoYoverse has already teased us through their drip marketing, confirming two brand-new characters for Version 7.1:

🧊 Vesna

Vesna has been generating quite the buzz in the community. Her build potential is looking strong, and fans are already theorycrafting how to best integrate her into existing team compositions.

💧 Vodyanitsa

Vodyanitsa is the other newcomer, and the hype around this character has been like a snowball rolling downhill — it just keeps getting bigger. From what's been revealed, her kit looks genuinely exciting.

During the livestream, we can expect:

  • 🎯 Final kit reveals for both Vesna and Vodyanitsa

  • 🏹 Banner schedules and possible re-run announcements

  • 🗺️ New event previews for Version 7.1

  • 🎵 Possibly some new music and world details (fingers crossed!)

As for a new area, don't hold your breath — based on current information, a brand-new region in 7.1 is unlikely. But the two new characters alone are more than enough reason to tune in and start hoarding Primogems like a dragon sitting on a treasure pile.

💡 Tips to Maximize Your Livestream Experience

Based on my years of doing this, here's a quick checklist before the stream:

  • [ ] Log into your HoYoverse account in advance

  • [ ] Open a text editor to quickly copy codes

  • [ ] Have the redemption page bookmarked and ready

  • [ ] Grab snacks — the stream can run over an hour

  • [ ] Suppress the urge to roll your remaining Primogems before the stream (always wait for the official kit reveal!)

That last point is crucial. I've made the mistake of panic-pulling before a livestream more times than I care to admit, only to discover during the stream that the upcoming character would have been PERFECT for my team. Don't be me. 🙃

🔮 Final Thoughts

The Genshin Impact 7.1 Special Program is shaping up to be a pretty exciting event. Between the two new characters Vesna and Vodyanitsa, the free 300 Primogems from livestream codes, and whatever other surprises HoYoverse has tucked up their sleeve, there's plenty of reason to tune in on September 12th. Set your alarms, prep your notebooks, and may your code redemptions be swift and your banner pulls be generous. We're all in this together, travelers! 🌍✨
